I have just finished an extensive anatomy class at gsCEPT. My class of twenty people sculpted an Écorché in Chavant, an oilbased clay. It was amazing! Our teacher Jim Vikström, an expert in anatomy and sculpting, trained in Florence Academy of Arts in Italy, introduced us to every single muscle and bone in the human body. From the tiny Hyoid bone (The throat bone) to the massive Gluteus Maximus (The buttocks). The summer course was 10 weeks long, where 5 weeks included sculpting a 75 cm tall Écorché, and 5 weeks sculpting individual free pieces. Check them out in the portfolio.
